Con il termine spike ci si riferisce a un improvviso e repentino incremento nell’andamento di una qualsiasi variabile che normalmente si attesta su valori notevolmente più bassi.
Osservandone l’andamento su un grafico, uno spike è un picco, una vetta, che può verificarsi a seguito di un’evento esterno o di una perturbazione, così come per cause del tutto sconosciute e, perciò, imprevedibili. Spike, pertanto, è una zine che si pone come recettore di impulsi e ricerche tanto imprevedibili quanto inevitabili e propri di qualsiasi variabile apparentemente “stabile”.

The term spike refers to a sudden and sharp increase in the trend of any variable that is on average at much lower values.
Observing this trend on a time line, a spike is a peak, a tip, that can be due to an occurring external event or a disturbance, as well as an unknown, and hence unpredictable, reason. Therefore, Spike is a zine that wants to intercept impulses and researches that are unpredictable as well as inevitable, just like any seemingly “stable” variable is.
006 – Fags
“FAGS” termine inglese, usato principalmente come becero insulto, assuma in questo progetto un nuovo significato. Diventa infatti acronimo di “Fightin’ Against Gay Slurs”. Il progetto si configura in 28 manifesti nei quali gli insulti, di cui la comunità gay è bersaglio, sono reinterpretati con ironia e rivendicati con orgoglio.

“FAGS” an English term, mainly used as a boorish slur, takes on a new meaning in this project. It becomes an acronym for “Fightin' Against Gay Slurs”. The project consists of 28 artworks in which the insults, of which the gay community is the target, are reinterpreted with irony and proudly claimed.
